Sicily's only DOCG and one of its most charming reds, Cerasuolo di Vittoria blends the structure and dark fruit of Nero d'Avola with the perfume and lift of Frappato. The result is bright, fragrant and cherry-scented — the name itself means "cherry-coloured" — light on its feet yet gently structured.
Made on the sandy south-eastern corner of the island, and championed by a new wave of natural-leaning growers, it has become one of Sicily's most fashionable wines. It is the island's answer to a fresh, food-loving, medium-bodied red.
