The southernmost Pinot Noir on earth grows among the mountains of New Zealand's South Island, in a rare pocket of semi-continental climate — hot days, frigid nights and brilliant light — where the grape ripens fully yet keeps its nerve. In a single generation, Central Otago has become one of the New World's great Pinot addresses.
